SCF Awards 12 Scholarships
The Shelby Community Foundation (SCF) is proud to announce the 10 Shelby Township Students that were awarded $1,000 college scholarships. Take a look at this year’s scholars and their goals.

Angela Bailey, Utica H.S.. will attend the University of Michigan to become a neurologist or neurosurgeon.

Steven DeBoer, Utica H.S., will attend the University of Michigan to study engineering.
|

Evelyn Everhart, Notre DamePrep will attend the University ofDayton to study music/vocals.
|
Dane Garden, Eisenhower H.S.,is deciding between MSU or Grand Valley State to prepare for amedical career.
|
|
Brittany Kilbride, Utica H.S. will attend Central Michigan University to become a physician’s assistant.
|
Cortney McComas, Utica H.S., will attend Oakland University or Macomb Community College to become a nurse.
|
|
Dwayne Murray, Jr., Warren Woods Tower HS, will attend Edinboro University to study photography and graphic design.
|
Sandy Ng, Eisenhower H.S., will attend the University of Michigan studying biology or architecture.
|
|
Christina Pauken, Regina H.S., will attend the University of Detroit – Mercy to pursue a career in the field of education.
|
David Weyland, Utica H.S. will attend Michigan Tech to study bio-medical engineering.

In addition, the Shelby Community Foundation awarded two $500 college scholarships, which were sponsored by the Detroit Sportsmen's Congress. The winners were:
- Josh Bertolet, Avondale High School
- Lindsey Peters, Warren Mott High School
