An Endowment Fund is a permanent fund established by a Community Foundation. Only the income from the Endowment can be used; the body of the fund cannot be touched. Endowment funds, therefore, enhance life in the Shelby Township Community and have a lasting effect now and for future generations. FOR GOOD: FOREVER!

About the Women's Fund
The women who stepped up and generously establish the Women’s Fund continue the tradition of leadership and service as their mothers and grandmothers did in generations past. The Foundation sees The Women’s Fund as a way to enhance the lives of women and their children through scholarships, emergency mini-grants, health/human service programs and projects -- all designed to provide help and encouragement at critical points in their lives. We expect to send a message to the recipients that someone you may never meet cares about you.
The Women's Fund is a testament to the idea that "you are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it come true." We expect The Fund to build a unique legacy to improve the lives of women and children now and forever. One of The Fund’s goals is to form successful partnerships with local non-profit organizations to assist local women. We are creating new footsteps in the sand as we walk the path that many other community foundations have walked.
The Women's Fund offers women the opportunity to find their "philanthropic voice." For more information on The Women's Fund or to find out how you can be a part of this special initiative, call the Foundation at 586-909-5305 or click here to contact the Executive Director for more information.
